The 60-year-old former manager of Australia has taken over as the new coach for the team, stepping in for Nuno Espirito Santo from Portugal. Nuno was let go by the club on Tuesday after issues arose between him and the team’s owner, Evangelos Marinakis.

Ange Postecoglou guided Tottenham Hotspur to their first major trophy in 15 years by winning the Europa League in May. However, just a month later, he was let go from his position after the team finished in a disappointing 17th place in the Premier League last season.
“I’m really excited and happy to be part of this team. This club has big goals, which is very important to me. We have a talented group of players,” the coach shared with Forest TV ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Arsenal.
A Historic Club’s European Return
Nottingham Forest, a football club that won the prestigious European Cup in 1979 and 1980, will be competing in the Europa League for the first time in three decades this season. This marks an exciting return to international competition for the team after a long absence.
In 1978, they became champions in England, and after several years, they made their way back to the top division, the Premier League, in 2022. Now, they are about to start their fourth year in a row competing at this highest level of English football.
