The industrious Ličina had a fine effort from the edge of the box in the 71st minute, but it went just wide of the post. Munich put further pressure on the visitors ten minutes before the end, and their third goal was the result. After making a robust challenge on a defender, Nestory Irankunda pounced on a pass that was too short and whipped the ball into the area. Vidović slotted home to make it 3-0 because he was in the right spot at the right time.
Upcoming Competitive Matches
Bayern’s first competitive match of the new season takes place this Friday. In the first round of the DFB Cup, the Reds face SSV Ulm, who have been promoted from Bundesliga 2, at 20:45 CEST. The first Bundesliga game is planned for Sunday, August 25th, away to VfL Wolfsburg.
