On July 29, the Premier League club Arsenal announced the signing of Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna. He signed a long-term contract to join the team.

The terms of the 22-year-old’s move were not revealed, but according to Italian and British media, Arsenal will pay Bologna roughly 40 million euros (S$58.17 million) plus an extra five million in add-ons.
